I heard a story that a big reason why the Asian population of Richmond BC is so big, is all down to superstition. The Chinese saw the name Richmond as sounding very much like "Rich Man".. which is pretty understandable. So, in search of good fortune in a foreign country they set up base in Richmond in the hopes it would bring good luck.
I feel like I live in Asia, and thus have no real passion to go there.. I am already immersed in the food/culture etc. I regularly am the only caucasian on the bus. I just realized the last part of the word caucASIAN...
